GuardBox was built by someone who lives and breathes this activity. Robert Jordan is a two-time World Champion and George Zingali "Best Color Guard" award winner who has marched with Gold, Fantasia, and The Blue Devils.

With years of experience as a caption head, choreographer, and clinician working with groups from A Class all the way through World Class, plus international programs from Costa Rica to Indonesia to the Netherlands, Robert built GuardBox because he saw firsthand how many tools instructors were missing.

This app exists to give every instructor, judge, performer, and parent a better way to understand, track, and improve within the marching arts. It's free, it's growing, and it's built with the same passion that drives us all to the gym floor every weekend.

Nope. You can start using GuardBox immediately as a guest. Creating a free account unlocks cloud sync so your data follows you across devices, but it's completely optional.

Most features work offline. Score tracking, sessions, flash cards, the rehearsal planner, flag designer, and saved news articles are all available without an internet connection. Features like the sheet scanner and tape transcriber require a connection to process data.

Absolutely. Your scores, sessions, and team data are stored on your device and in your personal cloud account (if you sign in). GuardBox does not share or sell your data. Period.

GuardBox supports all WGI competitive classes from Cadet through World Class, as well as regional circuit classes. The guidance system, scoring context, and coaching all adapt based on your selected class level.

The core scoring and guidance systems are built around WGI color guard judging criteria. However, tools like the rehearsal planner, tape transcriber, news feed, events calendar, and rep deck work great for any marching arts ensemble, whether that's percussion, winds, or guard.

GuardBox is currently available on iOS through the App Store. A web version is also accessible from any browser. Android support is on the roadmap, so stay tuned.
